Under the banner of Sustainable Technology, SRICT celebrated the sixth annual technical fest to promote technology, scientific thinking and innovation among the students, which has been creating a visual spectacle year after year, was held on 27-28 September 2018.

This year also the participation was made open for other college students. The participation of more than 1600 students comprising an outreach of more than 15 colleges participated in around 20 events like Robo-champ, Aqua-glide, power boat racer, technical workshops, Treasure hunt and lot more.

The techfest was inaugurated by the hands of the guests Shree Neelamkumar Valecha, VP, Reliance Industries and Dr. D.M. Gandhi, Site head, Lupin Ltd. in a very unique, technical way. The theme for the event was ‘Intellectual Immortality’ – remembering contribution of engineers to society. TECHNOVATION hits the horizon effusing vistas of fervor, thrill and exuberance.

Dr. Snehal Lokhandwala, Principal of our institute delivered the welcome speech during inaugural session. Shree N.K. Valecha addressed the students by sharing his own experiences as an engineering student. He described about how important are such Techfest, also mentioned how struggle and hard work will benefit the students irrespective to whichever branch the student is from. The Souvenir fourth edition of Technovation 2018 i.e., “TECHNOPHILE” was unveiled on the inaugural session. Dr. D.M. Gandhi also addressed gathering emphasizing the need of our theme ‘Intellectual immortality’. He also appreciated the efforts made by the team.

Events were celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm for entire two days. Chief Guest of valedictory function Mr. Rahul Patel from Agastya School addressed audience focusing on the contribution of science to society. During valedictory function, winners were given cash prizes worth Rs. 70250 and certificates. The program was supported by Reliance Industries, Solvay Specialty, Lupin Ltd., Sajjan India, Kanoria Chemicals, Panama Petrochem, Heubach pigments, Bhakti construction, Vraj chem, Khodiyar equipment, Nidhisha hospitality, Ashok travels, Manmandir travels, shree Balaji travels and few more.

Overall it proved to be a good platform for students to interact, share and exchange innovative and technical ideas. The entire fraternity of college is thankful to the management of Ankleshwar Rotary Education Society for providing such wonderful opportunity.
