Industrial visit @ Qualitron Chemicals,Panoli

Department of Environmental Science & Technology organised an industrial visit to Qualitron Chemicals,Panoli for the students of fourth semester BE/DE on 28/02/2024. As part of the visit, students got the opportunity to see the entire production process of pigment,associated unit operations and ETP Process. Overall, the visit was quite informative and knowledgeable for students, and UPL University would like to thank the officials who were kind enough to arrange a visit session for the students.

Department of Environmental Science & Technology organized a one day "on field workshop" on Operation of Effluent Treatment Plant at ETL, Ankleshwar, for the students of sixth semester BE on 21/02/2024. As part of the session students got detailed knowledge about CETP functioning, analysis and got the opportunity to see the actual operation of CETP.Students were highly motivated and benefited from this workshop.

Expert Talk on Importance of solar energy

Department of Environmental Science & Technology organised an expert session on 20/02/2024 for the sixth semester students of Environment, Electrical and Mechanical Department. The session was delivered by Mr. Deepak Ghadiya, Chairman - Sunrise CSP India Pvt Ltd., where he interacted with students on the importance of solar energy and also showed the practices which they follow at Muni Seva Ashram, Goraj. It was indeed a very interactive session where students were able to clear their doubts and were made aware about the utilisation of clean and green energy

Industry Visit @ Zydus Cadila healthcare unit, GIDC Ankleshwar

Department of Environmental Science & Technology organised an industrial visit for the students of sixth semester (BE and DE) to Zydus Cadila healthcare unit, GIDC Ankleshwar on 12th February 2024. Post safety instructions, students visited different stages of wastewater treatment involving primary, secondary and tertiary treatment systems available in the plant. The advanced levels of water treatment installed in the plant was also shown to them along with proper usage of MSDS sheet and usage of solvents in Industries. Overall the visit was quite informative where significant learning was gained by the students. UPL University would like to thank the management of Zydus and their team for successfully conducting the visit providing a learning platform for students.
