The Chemical Technology Department has organised an industry visit at Apex Pharma Chem, Ankleshwar GIDC on 27th November 2021 for 1st year BE students of Chemical Technology, Environment Science & Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Students.
Apex Pharma Chem is basically a recovery plant where they do a variety of solvent recoveries. The Director, Mr. Dinesh Khunt explained about the importance of solvent recovery In Pharma industry. He explained the safety precautions employed in the factory. The students were taken to the plant and he explained the various components of a recovery plant. The advantage of structured packing was explained to the students. The students interacted very well with the Director and he cleared many doubts of the students.
Then the students were taken to their utility plant and explained the working of the boiler and chilling plant. The students gave very good feedback on the visit.
