The Department of Environmental Science and Technology organized a virtual industrial visit to the e-waste management facility at SSWML, Himachal Pradesh for the students of EST department on 17/07/2021.
The session was coordinated by Mr. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Professor-DEST under guidance of Pratibha Gautam (HOD- DEST).
During the virtual visit students were described about e-waste facility, collection of e-waste, documentation checkup, process flow diagram, dismantling activity, electrical tubes/CFL crushing, cable stripping machine, e-waste shredding machine, material after processing and safety week celebration. Students eagerly attended the session and all their queries were discussed and resolved. They were highly benefited by detailed exposure of the e-waste management facility.
