Department of Electrical Engineering, SRICT has organized an online webinar for Diploma Electrical Engineering students, specially designed for Semester-5 and Semester-3 on the topic of “Basics of Power Electronics” on 30/07/2020. Total 114 nos. of participants from Semenster-5 and Semester-3 of Diploma Electrical Engineering from A. Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute, Kosamba have enrolled themselves for this program. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Hiren Jariwala (Assistant Professor, DEE-SRICT). The webinar has mainly covered the basics of Power Electronics, basic Power Electronics devices along with their construction, operation and its applications. It was a good interactive session and students have gained a lot of knowledge about Semiconductor devices. Ms. Jalpa Thakkar, Head of Electrical Engg. Dept., SRICT has also addressed the students about Scopes of electrical engineering and also presents the features of SRICT. The webinar was coordinated by Mr. Hiren Jariwala (Assistant Professor, DEE-SRICT) and executed successfully under the guidance of Ms. Jalpa Thakkar, Head of Electrical Engg Dept., SRICT.
