Department of Chemical Engineering, SRICT, organized an industrial visit for 5th semester, students at Godrej, Valia. Students were informed about how the fatty acids are converted into fatty alcohols. They got to see their pump house, boiler section and DCS section. They were also shown their packaging area where the final product is obtained in the form of flakes and granules. Overall, it was a very informative visit for the students.
